IELTS is co-owned and was co-created by a global partnership of education and language experts: IDP: IELTS Australia, the British Council and the Cambridge English Language Assessment.

IELTS, the International English Language Testing System, is designed to assess the language ability of people who need to study or work where English is the language of communication. IELTS is the world’s most popular high stakes English language test and over 2.2 million tests are taken around the world each year. Test format:

IELTS is consisting of four parts i.e. writing, reading, listening and speaking. Examinees are required to successfully complete all the four parts. The Listening and Speaking patterns are same for all examinees but there are two different editions of Reading and writing as follows:

  • Academic: People looking to study at undergraduate/ postgraduate level in English are required to appear for Academic version of the test. Sometimes this test is also required for professional looking for training or work in foreign country.
  • General Training: The general version is less difficult compare to Academic version and it’s designed for migrants and students intended to study (at below degree level), work or migrate in to the English Speaking Country.
Test duration: 2hrs & 45 Minutes:

There parts Listening, Reading & Writing (in the same order) has to be completed on same day and there are no breaks allowed in between the sections. The speaking part (Direct Interview) can be scheduled 5 days before or after the other three parts depending upon the decision of the Centre conducting test.

    When you come to office you can pay in cash.

    you will be given confirmation letter form, Support Folder and Receipt upon completion of payments. Online Preparation Materials will be supplied upon registering for the test. PLEASE NOTE: Speaking Tests may be conducted a few days before or after your test day.
How much does it cost?

IELTS 2020 Test Fee is 205 USD (Paper Based) and 240 USD (Computer Based). The Academic and General Training tests are the same cost.

Special Requirements

What if I need to postpone or cancel my application?

If you postpone or cancel your application more than 4 weeks before the test date, you will receive a refund minus an administration charge $ 50 USD.

If you postpone or cancel within 2 weeks of the test date, you will be charged the full fee unless you have a serious medical reason.

What if I am absent or sick on the test day?

If you are away on the test day with no prior notice, you will lose your full fee.

IELTS Rules and Regulations

It is important that all candidates are familiar with the rules and regulations surrounding the IELTS test.

You must:

  • Provide proof of your identity using a valid passport or National ID card in the morning at registration and prior to your Speaking Exam. Your passport and National ID must contain a passport number, a signature, a date of birth and a photograph.
  • Only have on your desk your identification, pencil/pen (provided by the Exam Centre), an eraser (provided by the test centre), and your passport or National ID card.
  • Ensure cell phone, pagers and any other electronic device is switched off and placed with personal belongings outside the room (or preferably left at home or in your car). Any candidate who does not switch off their phone/pager, or who retains one in their possession will be immediately disqualified and asked to leave the test.
  • Notify the Invigilator or Test Supervisor immediately if test day conditions in any way impede your performance.

You must NOT:

  • Impersonate another person or have another person impersonate you.
  • Attempt to cheat, copy the work of another candidate or disrupt the test.
  • Use, or attempt to use, a dictionary, pager, spell-checker, electronic recorder or cell phone for the duration of the test. Any candidate doing so will be disqualified and asked to leave.
  • Talk to or disturb other candidates once the examination has started.
  • Smoke or eat in the examination room.
  • Reproduce any part of the test in any format/medium. Any candidate doing so will have their test results disqualified and be liable to prosecution.
  • Remove any materials used during the examination. This includes, but is not limited to, examination papers, speaking task cards, answer papers or working papers..
